Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after traumatic events. I can help you strengthen your awareness of your stress responses, develop tools to manage and overcome symptoms, and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Humans are hard-wired for connection but that doesn't mean that navigating the complexity of relationships comes easy. In fact, it can be very challenging. In our work together, I can help you to explore past relationships and develop an understanding of how they show up in the present. I can support you in developing tools for cultivating healthier and stronger relationships in your life.
Body image affects all of us, however, it can be concerning when it begins to have a significant effect on our health and well-being, the way we perceive ourselves, and engage with the world around us. I can help you to explore the factors that have contributed to poor body image and ED behaviours and begin to foster a healthy relationship with your body, food, exercise, and yourself overall.
Addiction and related behaviours can lead to a lost sense of self, deep feelings of loneliness, and hopelessness. Together, we can explore the factors that led to and have maintained addictive behaviours, create a plan to support you in meeting your goals, and strengthen your sense of self.
Based on my education and training, I am currently providing counselling and psychotherapy services to adults and adolescents (14 yrs +).
